This situation indicates that Hong Kong's economy has entered a technical recession, and GDP in the first three quarters has grown negatively by 0.7% year-on-year . The Office of the Economic Adviser of the HKSAR Government said recently that the HKSAR Government has lowered its forecast for Hong Kong ’s economic growth in 2019 to -1.3% . This is the second time that Hong Kong has lowered its economic growth forecast for the year and it will be the first time that Hong Kong has experienced negative annual economic growth in the past 10 years.
